#1 Browser Based Sports Text Simulation of All-Time
Posted on September 8, 2011 at 10:07 PM.
Sim Sports World is without a doubt the number one browser based sports text simulation of all-time and I say this without a doubt in my mind. The game played through a browser evidently within its won website, follows the course of its own sports world, with three of the major sports already playing out or being ready to be played out. Those three being Basketball (starting its third season), Baseball (in-development) and Football (coming out extremely soon).

The Community --
In a lot of sites nowadays, communities will tend to be close-minded and alienate new members from joining their group, this isn't the same here... at all. The owner, Rob doesn't look too himself as an almighty god who doesn't interact with the members, in fact he interacts with most members, has been known for giving TONS & TONS of promotions that will aid even the non-paying members and solves problems personally and through PM. A truly friendly figure on the site, and I've never seen a more interactive owner. As for the rest of his crew, I haven't seen one moderator you wouldn't be able to get a long with, a really easy crowd. For new members, it isn't hard to make yourself a part of the site, a skype group made by a member himself was created and its a very easy to really get to know the more active members of the site as well as an easy way to get jobs, hire, recruit and such. All in all, it won't take long before you get yourself into it.

Player Mode (For Paying & Non-Paying Members)
Player mode works for both members who have the money to pay, and members like me, who don't have the money to pay. You generally start your career as a freshmen in high school rather it be football, baseball or basketball, if you have the points (which can be bought and gained through various means on the site), then you will be able to create college players and professional players. Someone who begins from freshmen will see their players stories unfold from their four years in high school, in college and in the Professionals along with the International game. Your player improves through training and boosts (bought with points as well). There are various factors which can also make your career unique such as skipping a year or flunking one (both are cards gained with points). If your player surpasses the caps in experience then he could find himself going straight to the professional. You experience everything as a high school player, the thrills of being recruited and deciding where you will take your talent, and the division and national championships. In College you get the same exact opportunities and when you finally get to the Professionals, you get the ultimate thrill ride of the Draft before living out your career with contracts (that earn you points) and much and more. It really doesn't matter rather you're players low in experience or not, coming from a man who has 34 players (this isn't the norm in numbers of players per users), and with none of them over 2* star in ratings, I was able to get more than twelve of them drafted to a team to fill in certain roles and all earning points from them to one day make a truly successful star in the professionals.

Coach Mode (Fully Free)
Much like player mode, you get to coach in High School, College and the Pro's. Coaching for High School is easy and great for beginners, to coach for College, you will need to send an application for the team and the conference owner will review it and send you a contract for the job which generally gets better depending on your success. As a coach who is currently 5-23 in his whole career, even if you are this bad, there are always teams looking for coaches and owners looking to hire. At the college level, you need to interact with members to try and recruit their high school players to your team while aiming to reach the Final Four's and beyond one day. In-game, you'll have to gameplan, make plays, divide minutes, set your line-ups, prepare your defense, scout the opponents etc. which makes coaching a great deal of challenge and fun. In the professionals, you will once more be hired by owners with a better pay, while jobs are harder to get there, we generally have opportunities available for you to try and with Football and Baseball opening up, there will be tons of jobs available there.

Ownership Mode (Pay Mode)
Ownership mode is for the wealthier members but of course I'm also an owner who believe it or not owns a team and has yet to pay it dime, so if you play your cards right, take advantage of opportunities, you could also see yourself here, of course, you'll be struggling so paying for this is the best decision for success. You get to own a team or conference, hire the players (in the pros) and hire the coaches as well while managing paying said players. Of course, it comes with great rewards, with successes like consecutive wins, championships and such, you could be gaining a lot of money from this. A really fun mode and probably my favorite out of all of them. There are always opportunities to own from what I've seen and again, with new teams opening, you could find yourself owning one and if you come and pay fast enough, you could also get yourself your own personalized team (city & logo).

Points & Cards
The currency on this site is points which can be bought through PayPal and Google Checkout or gained through voting for the site and getting certain sorts of cards. With points you can improve your players, buy teams, buy cards and overall make your life a lot easier. Cards come in different and various forms such as temporary boosts which improve your player for the day, Christmas cards which can be redeemed for bunches of points in Christmas, scratch cards which get you certain rewards, parent cards which combined can give you a player and various other types. There are even cards that give you more cards. The owner is constantly coming up with new types of cards so you'll always have a variety of choices and with the auction available, you could get some cards for cheap.

Promotions
Come often and quick on the site, one day the owner could invite everybody to the chatbox and award them packs of cards, another day he could give you extra amount of points for buying points, on his 32nd Birthday, he constructed a promotion which offered over 100,000 points to different members and 2 cases of cards (which is a lot of cards mind you). In a current promotion, he's offering packs of every brand of cards for the person buy the 1,000,000th card out. It could be any lucky member. These are ones of many promotions you'll find on this site.

Extra Leagues
Along with the generic leagues, there are three ladder leagues and one dream leagues which offer a change from the usual stuff. In the month of september, for every five wins gained, you get a free pack of cards in the ladder league and depending on your final ranking in the playoffs you get a point prize. In the dream league, the winner gets his own personalized jersey sent by mail (choice of logo, name etc.) and a grand sum of points, a great opportunity to hone your coaching skills here.

If you aren't satisfied yet then I'm not sure what will satisfy you, but give the site a chance by going to this link and registering: http://www.simsportsworld.com/forum/register.php?referrerid=870
Once you signed up, message me (my account name is: Jonathan) if you have any questions or most members that is since they'll be ready and willing to help you. It's a great opportunity to create your players for basketball and your coaches, as well, or to own teams for football and buy players for them. One added information, is that once all left players are bought for football (which pretty much cost one point for a player and is a great way to make quick points once the season stars), football will officially start. So what are you waiting for, join up and get your legacy started.
