I like the idea of having games on the week days, it would allow for more people to see their favorite teams more often also. I also agree for adding more teams to the playoffs. Great ideas.

leave it exctly as it is. Quality of play will be greatly diminished if they play 18. Evrybody will be injured by the final weeks. It's all just a money grab by the league and the television studios. And they cant play games every day of the week. as a purist, I believe it would take away from what makes Sundays so special, but also, think about the scheduling nightmares. Do you really want your team playing on a Sunday, then having to play again on Thursday, or even a Wednesday on more than one occasion per season and then possibly again on Sunday? Teams need to have some sort of standard routine in order to be able to gameplan properly and weekday games would just throuw that off. And extra playoff games? The NFL is the only league that has that right. The only thing they need to do is a add a clause that would prevent teams with a losing record from making it in or at least getting a home game. There's a reason the NFL is the most popular league in America: because it had great leaders in Rozell and Tagliabue(sp). And there's a reason that it will soon falter: Roger Goodell. Leave well enough alone.

The NFL has watered down their product enough. Playing on Sundays makes football an event. Playing any given day dilutes that experience. Furthermore there are already too many teams that don't belong in the playoffs. A firm thumbs down to expanding them anymore. I don't want to see it go the route of NHL/NBA where over half the teams make it and the regular season is just used to make money and get the seeds.

18 games and no bye greatly would be horrible. I love how games in the NFL are meaningful. The bye system is excellent because the battle at the top of the league for the huge advantage in the playoffs. I think a change to either reduces the quality of the product.

I should have said First Round Bye referring to the playoffs. That was the true meaning and No I never played in the NFL sorry. Personally I like the way it is to a point, but the fact of the matter is they are changing it and this was just an alternative idea I had personally. Way to go Seattle 7-9 Division Champs and a home playoff game, nice.......joke.

Rudy is 100% right. The current NFL setup is awesome and does not need to change.

I'm getting tired of these leagues (NCAA wanting to expand March Madness to 96) messing with things that are already good. Then you have leagues like the MLB with big problems that need to be fixed which will never be touched. Ugh.

more teams + more games = less interest. Look at MLB and NBA. too many meaningless games. Leave it be. Games through the week is cool though.

Don't change a thing, in my opinion.

It is a preposterous idea to have more than 16 regular season games. This is just a money grab on the part of ownership to soak season ticket holders who are already bitter that they are forced to buy two meaningless preseason games... so the owners answer is "Well, we'll cut the 2 preseason games and add two real games". It is dumb. Players will have a rougher time surviving the season. (So much for player health, Goodell). It will throw off the record book. As for adding MORE playoff teams, its bad enough we have to see the Seahawks in the playoffs this year...
