The effort the Sony team put into lighting in MLB 09 is clearly paying off. Cool side-by-side.

							Yeah my thoughts too
I just see a different type of detail with MLB 09 that is just so impressive. Like I said before you can not beat them texture wise or line wise as the ps3 has a lot going for it in that hardware department.

the difference: MLB 2k9 looks like a game, all cartoony looking and stuff.
MLB 09 The show looks like a photo, you can't even try to compare the graphics between these two, The show wipes the floor with 2k9.

unfortunately though, after having a second look, why would you want to compare the two games when one pic is day time and the other pic night time, it is pointless.

Actually, most player animations in The Show are more "signature" than those in 2K. They are spot on most of the time.

While it's pretty clear that the show has the more realistic look to it, I like the look of both games. I like how 2k looks more like a videogame, as it's more bright and flashy, so it's not a bad thing for me at all. But if I had to pick only one, I would go with the show.

the color of the outfield wall in 2K9 is way off. It looks like they stole the wall from Pro Player Stadium in Florida. And the 2K9 image looks a bit cartoonish vs. the more photographic look of MLB 09.
