I feel that Madden 12 is in the development cycle where NBA 2k9 was. Finally smoother finally provided a great broadcast appearence and offering the most realistic representation of the sport since last gen football.

Madden 12 has the same editing interface as NBA 2k9 and like 2k9 has the same results from editing game speed as you all will get see with my full blown edit of the game similar to past 2k edits of mine.

The similarities are also there Regarding Madden 12's overall player modeling as well where NBA 2k9 started getting the player models much more believable.

This all said, I feel that Madden 13 can be NBA 2k10 and Madden 14 can MAYBE be NBA 2k11.

And if you read into that that means only good things for when we see Walter Payton on the cover

That would be nice if that was true but I still find it hard to believe. Nba 2k9 and nba 2k10 had competition so 2k really stepped its game. I doubt madden will step its game b/c unlike nba 2k9 madden has no competion and know that their game will sale like it always does. I would hope im wrong but i had hopes for madden 12 and imo its making the right steps in the correct direction but it's still way behind where it should be. Sad what ea and madden are doing jut horrible. But even without competition nba is still stepping it up. Madden doesnt care point blank. We have to wait until madden 14 to get a decent game that's patheic.

@Jamake1005 agreed...i guess i'll wait until 2014 and rent it just like i did with m12 and in my opinion that's just what it was a rental improved tackling and 3d grass wasn't enough for me to spend 60+ dollars on it and nba 2k12 was a pre-order for me cause i'm confident in 2k nba titles that it warrants a first day purchase...competition only helps your product gets better well at least for some devs. cough...cough...i mean 2k sports

It would be nice if that was true. I find that EA doesn't pay attention the little details of the game which is what 2K does very well. The madden series looks very nice but is lacking soul. After a few games they all start to feel the same. 2K has stellar presentation and not only improves yearly on the gameplay but everything in the game gets a makeover (i.e. crowds, sidelines, courts etc.) I wish EA had that type of commitment to Madden and NCAA.
I told myself I would wait to get Madden this year but gave into the hype again. I'm hoping they get it together soon. I can't take another year with pretty graphics but little re-play value.

i think cam webber and mike young will get madden on the right track agian .like back when david ortiz was doing until ian cummings took over and messed everything up .hell if madden 13 can have the same quality of game play thats great.
