"Please don't spoil the movie by adding your own soundtrack"
Posted on September 4, 2010 at 03:20 PM.
Is it me or do i see more and more phone usage during a movie these days. I usually tell people I'm at the movies or kindly disable my ringer. With the price of popcorn, soda and the movie ticket i'm shellin out something like 40 bucks for a 2 hr entertainment kick. To have to see the glare of cell phone screens and ringtones from the top ten becomes kinda annoying but not in the sense of of "turn that thing off' but more like" dude/dudettes come on you came here to watch a movie" 'you know just watch a movie and chill" "text someone after" It's like theres no personal control or discipline to make sure the device doesn't own you...

RANT OVER

I hate that as well. One time in a crowed theatre a phone rang in a quiet scene. Someone yelled "turn it off!" The rest of the theatre hooted and hollared in agreement. The girl skampered out of the theatre with her head hanging low.... awww sweet social justice.

Yeah, it drives me nuts. When I went to see the Expendables, I had to turn around and tell these 2 girls to zip it b/c they were talking VERY loud and weren't paying attention to the movie.

One of these days I'm going to pull a Costanza in the theatre, lol.

Good point' but honestly don't you think going to the movies is highly underrated considering what you get. For instance, I have a family of 5 and after buying tickets, popcorn, sweets, and soda - we have just shelled out close to 50 bucks. That's a brand new copy of Wii Party or Just Dance. Give me root beer floats at home and the blu/Ray copy to own anyway vs the outdated concept of theatre.

Sorry... typos a plenty.......good point, highly overrated vs under, blu Ray.

Completely understand anyone wanting to stay home and just watch something thanks to modern tech. I mean tvs now are like mini
theater screens and whatnot and you can "pause' the movie too

I remember when Theaters had ushers in the aisle during movies..bring them back to shut people up...

The worst is when parents decide to take their infants to the movies. A crying baby instantly ruins a movie.

Once when we were at the movies a baby was crying for a minute or two so I yelled, "We got a babysitter, why didn't you?" Then a bunch of people laughed and clapped and the mom left with her crying baby.

You can actually bring in an usher to have someone escorted out but thats a bit whimpish(but with the way people are sue happy these days it's actually the better thing maybe?)

Lol at the babysitter joke that was a good one...

My girlfriend always texts when shes at a movie. It pisses me off when I shell forty bucks on the night and during the movies shes texting away with her friends

These are your friend.
I have a more powerful version(I can't find the website and I don't have it with me to look at the name)....but let's just say....a train ride to me is a pleasure once again.
Mine will block from 40-50 foot around....so it won't cover the entire theater ...but...
