It's Mike here again bringing you another pre-season outlook on this years Miami Heat. The Roster is flawed, there is no question about it. The Heat have serious questions on nearly 75% of the roster. The first is at the PG position. The Heat do not have a pure PG on the roster except for starter Goran Dragic. The Heat seem to be fine with Tyler Johnson getting serious minutes at the PG position along with second year player Josh Richardson who has played PG last year and in College at Tennessee. The second position the Heat are lacking talent at is the PF position. The heat are without a clear starter with only Josh McRoberts on the roster as the only pure PF.Derrick Williams and James Johnson are expected to play good minutes at the PF position. The other position is at SG. This position isn't lacking bodies, just a clear cut starter. Waiters, Richardson, TJ, Ellington and Mcgruder are all expected to get run time at the SG spot. Waiters has been named the pronounced starter, but as we have seen before, Waiters has let down countless times and we are expecting it will happen again. With J-Rich and TJ getting minutes at PG, that leaves Ellington picking up minutes at SG. Bosh not being able to play this year leaves a all star player void on the roster. The Las Vegas total amount of wins for the Heat this year are 34.5, we will see where they sit at the all star break. But, at least the draft is stacked this year! Until next time, This is Mike signing out from the Ross SPorts network....Aidoo

Well, here we are again folks as another NBA season begins for your Miami Heat. It's your good old friend Mike Ross here from the Ross Sports Network bringing you yet another outlook on the new NBA season and the sole focus is now shifted to the new Heat GM in Mike Smith. In my eyes, Smith has been given a tough task with this new era beginning fir the Miami Heat. It was a somewhat rough off season for Riley and company as the 2016 off season didn't go exactly as planned. This all starts with the sudden departure of Dwyane Wade who before next season has played every year with the heat since being drafted. Wade decided to take his talents to Miam.....Chicago to play for his hometown team. If losing Wade wasn't enough, Heat All Star power forward Chris Bosh has also possibly played his last days as a Miami Heat player. Doctors will not clear him to resume basketball activities after sitting last year again for blood clots found in his body. Rumors have surfaced the Heat will not cut him until March 1st to ensure all of his salary comes off the books for the 2017 season. This would also make it so that if Bosh does sign with another team (If cleared that is) he can not be on the playoff roster for that team. With that being he case, 2016 could mark the end for the big three error after Lebron took his talents back to Cleveland last season. Withe the Heat trying to scrap together a ballclub who could win games They quickly re-signed Center Hassan Whiteside to a 4 year 98.5 million dollar contract. They then went on to match the Brooklyn Nets offer to Tyler Johnson and re-signed TJ to a 4 year 50 million dollar deal. After that they then went o to finish putting the roster together as they signed Derrick Williams to a 1 year 4.5 million dollar deal, James Johnson 1 year 4 million dollar deal, Willie Reed 1 year 800k deal with a 1 million dollar second year option, 2 year 12 million dollar deal for Wayne Ellington and they brought back Long time Miami Heat power froward Udonis Haslem on a 1 year 4 million dollar deal. They also signed Dion Waiters to a late 1 year 3 million dollar deal with a second year player option worth up to 3 million. The Heat also traded their second round pick to the Pelicans for Luke babbitt. With the shape of this roster, last years playoff appearance could be the last one for awhile as the Heat seem to be going into rebuild mode. Riley is never known for that though as he calls it the "re-up" mode as he try's to rebuild while still winning. The Heat will need bigger performances from Whiteside and Goran Dragic. Dragic's name has also been floated around in a deal as he has been linked to the Sixers, Suns and Rockets. But as of right now, Dragic and Whiteside are core pieces of this Heat rotation. The Heat will also need to get more production from last years 10th pick in the draft Justice Winslow as he takes over the starting small forward spot with the departure of both starter Deng and Joe Johnson. The Vegas odds has the heat at 34.5 games won and the heat would look to show up those odds but it seems the odds may be against them. for now, this is Mike Ross for the Ross SPorts Network...Aidooo

The Minnesota Twins have placed All Star second baseman Brian Dozier on the 15-Day DL with shoulder soreness. Dozier sees himself back on the DL for the third time this season as the injury bug has held him to just 57 games this season. Dozier missed time earlier in the season with quad tightness and he tried to sit out but was eventually placed on the DL. After returning he started to get in the swing until a broken forearm sidelined Dozier for 2 1/2 months. Dozier came back strong after coming off the 60 day DL to hit .252/.548/.836 slash while hitting 20 Home Runs and 31 RBI's. But Dozier sees himself back on the DL with shoulder soreness that is in the same arm he broke. As of right now Dozier is expected to be back after the 15 days are up and we will see how he rehabs the injury. It has been reported that the Twins will call up Ryan Rua from Triple-A Red Wings. Rua was claimed off of waivers from the Rangers in June where he was hitting .272 for the club before being DFA. Rua was mashing in Triple-A hitting .340 with 15 Home Runs and 32 RBI's.

Michael Tonkin has been optioned to the Triple-A Red wings after today's game against the Houston Astros. Tonkin was part of the late inning collapse in today's 9-2 loss. Tonkin held an uninspiring 5.02 ERA in 21.1 innings of work. Top bullpen prospect J.T. Chargois contract will be purchased from the Red Wings and will slide into the bullpen. Chargois held an ERA of 1.22 while having a record of 2-0 with 23 saves out of 25 chances. Tonkin will be back up in September when rosters expand.
