Twins trade for a new Outfielder!

Reports are coming out of Minnesota that the Twins have struck a deal with the Tampa Bay Rays. Last week it was reported the Twins were one of the few teams interested in Steven Souza Jr as the Rays put him on the block due to his slow start to the season and their abundance of Outfield depth but today Souza has a new home in Minnesota. The Tampa Rays sent Outfielder Steven Souza Jr and relief pitcher Jonny Venters to the Minnesota Twins and in return, the Twins sent Trevor Plouffe and Prospect Luke Bard to the Rays. Both Souza and Plouffe were having bad starts to their seasons and both look to rebound with change of scenery. With a corresponding move, Fernando Abad will be sent to Triple-A Rochester while Jonny Venter and his contract will be purchased and he both Souza and Venters will be available for tonight's rubber match against the Indians. Souza is projected to get the start in RF while Sano shifts to 3B.
