Reports coming out of the Twins camp are reporting that Catcher John Ryan Murphy has been optioned to Triple-A Rochester. With the corresponding move, The Twins purchased the contract of LF Adam Walker from Triple-A Rochester. Walker was hitting .286 with 4 Home Runs and 13 RBIs for the Red Wings. This move was made possible due to Joe Mauer getting playing time at Catcher several times during the week. ALso, with Danny Santana sidelined due to injury, the Outfield depth is left short on the bench. Manager Paul Molitor also hinted that Miquel Sano could see some time at his old position at 3B with Trevor Plouffe having troubles at the plate so far this season. Walker is expected to start todays game in the nations capital.
