Line by line analysis brought to you by Blackhawks TV.

Line 1: Combined - 28 G / 38 A / 56 PTS / + 25

LW - Morin / C - Toews / RW - Kane

Best line in hockey? Might be. Morin leads the way in the goals department with 12 in 20 games, Toews is not too far behind with 10. This line can score anyway, and anyone on this line can put the puck in the net. It finally seems as thought Morin is becoming that elite sniper that so many people thought he could be. Last year he put up career highs in goals (26), assists (32), and points (58), he's on pace to smash all of those numbers this year. Toews and Kane seem more than willing to dish the puck this year, but it's Toews that is turning heads and getting serious consideration for the Hart Trophy this year. Outlook: Nothing is happening with this line, these guys should stay together all year.

Line 2: Combined - 14 G / 14 A / 28 PTS / + 21

LW - Beach / C - Grenier / RW - Connolly

Coming into the year many people thought this would be the line that would be key to the Hawks success, so far, so good. It's a little bit of a gamble having Grenier playing 2nd line Center, but we wouldn't have him there if we didn't think he could do it. Ultimately at this point in his career Grenier is a 3rd line Center, but we are in a position to try some things out, and I think he will be better because of it. This line has been solid, and teams are having issues matching their size. Beach 6'3", Grenier 6'5", and Connolly 6'2", that gives teams fits because all three can skate. Given that Connolly is the sniper on this line we chose to go with Beach at the opposite wing, and I like it so far, but a change could be in the offing. Hard to change anything right now, and this line should only get better. Outlook: Solid contributions have kept this line together, talks have begun about moving Nino up.

Line 3: Combined - 9 G / 8 A / 17 PTS / + 1

LW - Neiderreiter / C - Pirri / RW - Jensen

Definitely want more out of this line which is why the discussions have begun about moving Neids up a line. It's not necessarily what the 2nd line isn't doing, it's what the third line is. I think we can get more out of Neids, and I think that Jensen is going to be really good. But, at this point this line just isn't meshing like I thought it would. Pirri has been given the opportunity to be the third line Center, but I think it might be a bit much for the type of game he plays. I wouldn't say that we have been disappointed by this line, I just think it could, and should be more. Outlook: Changes coming, before anyone get's moved up, we might be messing with the bottom two lines only.
