Start of Off-Season; Hawks Looking to Add on the Backend
After the embarassing exit in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Chicago Blackhawks are looking to add some speed to push the play a little more. "We just feel that O'Donnell is better suited to be a coach at this point in his career," said an unnamed source. Sami Lepisto will probably be replaced as well as some players were heard as saying "I hope he goes away forever." The coaching staff is hoping the young fourth line has gained some experience and will improve upon the progress they made this past year. The Hawks were happy with their Scoring depth last season but are hoping to have more consistent scoring from the top two lines at least, as some of their star players had career lows in points this year. Hopefully needs will be met in the off-season thru development, trade, free agent, and draft. 112 points is great but that is not the goal of our organ-I-zation.
