Game of the Year, Hawks Erase 4 Goal Defecit to Knock of Flyers

The Hawks have seen this movie before, go on the road to face a high powered Eastern Conference opponent, and before you know it you are chasing multiple goals. The Flyers were able to strike for three goals in the first, all of them being questionable which led to Corey Crawford being pulled in favor of Ray Emery. The Flyers are outshooting the Hawks 10-7 and hold a 3-0 lead as we head to the 2nd period. Things could get much worse fast, the Hawks have 1:30 remaining on a Dan Carcillo penalty, if they want any chance to remain in this game they need to kill this one off.

The second started much like the first, a 4th liner from the Flyers finding the back of the net halfway thru the 2nd to give Philly a 4-0 lead. Most teams would fold the tent after how the first 30 minutes have gone but to the Hawks credit they have stuck with things to try and make it a game. With 4 minutes left in the period the Rat struck again beating Bryz on wrister while shorthanded cutting the lead to 3. Less then 2 minutes after that just after Lepisto got out of the box he found himself staring at an empty net off of a rebound from a Hossa shot and made not mistake cutting the deficit to two. Bryz looks shaky, Hawks need to keep getting pucks at the net to see if they can generate good looks off of rebounds, next goal is huge obviously.

Some games are remembered when it comes to the end of the year, for whatever reason they are remembered. Mark this one, circle it on the calendar, the Hawks, trailing 4-0, looking tired and disinterested with 30 minutes to play in the game fought all the way back to win 6-4 in regulation. So many plays, storylines, it's amazing, quite possibly the best game I've ever been a part of. Hawks needed an early goal in the third to make sure this one wasn't completely out of reach and that is exactly what they got on a horrible play by Bryzgalov. He made the save and with Sharp crashing decided to clear the puck to the corner, only it didn't get to the corner and it ended up on Sharps stick and then the back of the net to make it 4-3 Flyers. The Hawks pressured throughout the 3rd period with no luck, a chance here or there but nothing would get past Bryzgalov. Then the young stars of the Hawks took over, Toews and Kane led a textbook 2 on 2 which ended with Kane saucering a backhanded no look pass to Toews who powered it into the empty net for the game tying goal with 3:40 remaining. Flyers fans and players alike were stunned, and that was evident in the next couple of shifts for the Hawks, they were swarming. Then it happened, Nick Leddy unloaded a booming shot from the point which was tipped by Kruger, Bryz made a huge stop but left a rebound for none other than former Flyer DAN CARCILLO who pumped it home with 43 seconds remaining to give the Hawks an improbable 5-4 lead. On the ensuing shift the Flyers got the puck deep and Emery had to make a fairly easy stop which then led to Kane and Sharp going the other way and Sharp putting the puck into the empty net to cap an amazing rally, and game, Hawks win 6-4! I'm exhausted.

This is my first attempt at doing what I really want to do with the highlights. Really pi**ed that I lost some quality, still working on it. Here is the awesome comeback, I will post the other HQ videos if need be.
