No. 8 UCLA survives overtime scare in Berkeley

BERKELEY - It took No. 8 UCLA overtime to do it, but the Bruins escaped Berkeley with an 84-75 win over California.

Jonah Bolden exploded with a double-double, 29 points and 13 rebounds for the Bruins and Bryce Alford added 17 points. Normal Powell scored 16 and Isaac Hamilton also added 12 for UCLA.

Jonah Bolden was dominant, with 29 points and 13 rebounds.

Jordan Mathews led Cal with 24 points, and Jabari Bird added 17 for the Golden Bears. Ivan Rabb posted another double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

The Golden Bears (9-9, 2-3) outscored the Bruins in the second half to force overtime, where they led with three minutes to go, but UCLA (11-4, 1-4) turned on the heat, scored 23 points in five minutes to win by nine.
