No. 11 Oregon fends off Cal at home

EUGENE (OR) - Joseph Young scored 25 points to lead the No. 11 Ducks to an 86-76 win over California.

Elgin Cook added 18 points for Oregon, while Michael Chandler added 13 and Dwayne Benjamin 11.

Young connected on 5-of-6 3-pointers.

Ivan Rabb led Cal with 15 points and six rebounds and Jordan Mathews added 14 for the Golden Bears.

The nationally ranked Ducks (10-2, 2-0) took a 44-37 lead into the locker room at halftime and the Golden Bears (8-7, 1-1) made some effective adjustments but couldn't close the gap in the second half.
