Webb sets school record as Bears bury Beavers 47-13

CORVALLIS - Davis Webb had a record-breaking performance as No. 16 Cal rebounded from last week's loss with a 47-13 romping of Oregon State in Corvallis.


Webb broke NFL Draft No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff's record for passing yards in a game.

Webb completed 43 of 57 passes for a school record 569 yards and six touchdowns. He was picked off three times but eclipsed the 600-mark for total yards by adding 11 carries for 49 yards on the ground.

It was all Cal from beginning to end as six Golden Bear receivers eclipsed the 74-yard mark, with four passing the 90-yard mark and two going for over 111 yards each.


Kanawai Noa had another big day with 11 catches, 121 yards and a score.

Kanawai Noa led all receivers with 11 catches for 121 yards and one touchdown. Raymond Hudson scored twice on seven catches for 111 yards and Khalfani Muhammad also had two touchdowns on six catches for 74 yards and added 71 more on the ground on 10 carries.

Cal (7-1) built a 21-3 first half lead over Oregon State (3-4) and never let up, continuing to pile on points until the final buzzer.
