Several of Cal's top targets were in town over the weekend to catch the Golden Bears' 35-21 victory over then-No. 19 Washington State and by the end of the weekend, the Golden Bears' commit list grew by three.

Six-foot-five, 272-pound offensive tackle Michael Seward out of Compton (Calif.) is the highest rated of the new commits and chose the blue and gold over offers from UCLA and Stanford.

"The atmosphere was amazing and I really feel like they are a team that's on the rise," Seward told TheBearsDen.com

At 89 overall and three-stars by the 247Composite, Seward is ranked the No. 23 tackle prospect in the country.

Heath Maxwell, an 82 overall three-star center from Florence-Graham (Calif.) also committed to Cal over interest from USC, UCLA and Washington. At 6-foot-1 and 274 pounds, he is ranked the No. 20 prospect in the country.

"I feel like Cal wants me the most, like they have shown me the most love," Maxwell said. "Honestly, I've been thinking about this for awhile."

San Francisco's (Calif.) two-star tackle, 6-foot-6, 298-pound John Gibson also made a pledge to the blue and gold. He's rated 76 overall and the nation's No. 95 tackle by the 247 Composite.

Gibson chose Cal over Arizona, Boise State and San Diego State.

These additions give Cal a total of four commits for its 2017 recruiting class, all offensive linemen.
