Ever since OperationSports.com's "merger" with MaddenMania, this place has been completely different. More users, developer interaction, earlier reviews, but with the good comes the bad. And the bad, in this case, is vocal OS haters.
It has come to my attention that a fledgling, upstart sports gaming community is apparently going with the "no rules" approach to their forums. Posts by banned OS users ... Read More

I know I already posted a lengthy blog today but this HAD to be posted today. Just found this video on YouTube. One of the funniest damn things I've ever seen. ENJOY!

Hello friends. I've been getting the itch to blog again so it is with great excitement that I've decided to fix up my OS Arena a bit and get to typing out my thoughts in blog form yet again.
There certainly is no shortage of things to discuss here. We have huge game releases on the horizon. It's a big sports week with the NBA draft coming up Thursday. We have TONS of new folks on the OS forums, likely ... Read More

It's that time of year again, folks. The time of year when everyone and anyone interested in playing the latest college basketball video game scours the net in search of a named roster file.
With EA Sports' NCAA Basketball 09 in stores today, I was surprised to learn that no one had taken the initiative to begin an Xbox 360 roster project yet. So, as the old saying goes, if it is to be, it is up to me.

So the new OS Arena feature is up and running. People are going nuts with the strides they are willing to take to secure a good OVR score. The forum clown, dkgojackets, is taking this to new heights with a new blog post seemingly every 10 minutes about nothing in particular.
Not like the Seinfeld "about nothing" thing though...his blog posts make no sense. And yes, I'm jealous because I didn't ... Read More

Many of you know that I'm an alum of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. College basketball fans might remember the Seahawks upsetting Southern California in the 2002 NCAA Tournament as a 13th seed.
Since that time, the basketball culture of that campus changed. Games sold out. And the people who showed up actually paid attention to the game that was going on, which was a big change from what that program was used to seeing.
Anyway, the point of this blog ... Read More

It all started with a sports talk radio show and a bet. The rest, as they say, is history.
For four years, I was host of a sports talk radio show on WMFD in Wilmington, NC. My co-host and I were good friends, on and off the air. As such, we would frequently argue on the air about various topics, some involving sports, some involving things completely unrelated to sports.
One of those days happened shortly before the 2006 NFL Draft. We were discussing who would be taken ... Read More

My wife has been pregnant for 4 months now. The doctor calls it 16 weeks. Why? Something having to do with how fast the baby grows inside and that it changes weekly. Weeks are confusing for me to figure out so I still go by months. So...she's 4 months pregnant.
We had a baby doctor appointment yesterday (yeah...sorta like baby daddy). Everything checked out just fine. The one thing the doctor did recommend is that my wife drinks more water. Now, neither of us are big water drinkers. ... Read More

It was close to 7 years ago that I first discovered OperationSports.com. I was searching for sliders for the Nintendo 64 version of Madden, a version of the game I still claim is probably the most under rated. It had everything. Nice graphics. Franchise mode. You could even see your players' breath in cold weather games. Groundbreaking stuff, right there.
But this entry isn't about Madden. It's about OS. Over the last two years, this site has grown to become THE place to go ... Read More
