I wanted to just throw a little love out there for a game that seemed to get very little love from the gaming press recently--Baja: Edge of Control.
I can't get enough of that game. It may not be the prettiest girl at the dance, but it sure is fun to play. Oddly enough, the toughest cars to drive in the game are the ones you start in, but as you progress, it really opens up.
I'm working on a full written review at the moment, but if anybody's looking for a decent offroad racer with a nice balance between sim and arcade, look no further. It's a fantastic game.

Got to say Terry, when I played it at a previous event I found it to be rather boring. Now that disinterest may be because I am disinterested with most car games, but it seemed especially apparent with Baja.

I could see that happening, which is what I think happened to most of the reviewers playing it. If you're not into racing games, then you might not appreciate how every little dip can send your car into a wildly different direction, and how much you really have to work the throttle to get a good groove going. I think it probably took me a good hour or two to "get it". I guess I should have mentioned that if you're not a race fan, it's not going to change your mind!
