Welcome to the NFL Tim Tebow!

Welcome to the NFL Tim Tebow!

The drafting of Tim Tebow, albeit much earlier than I expected and definitely not to my Denver Broncos, is as excited as I've ever been on NFL Draft Day. Tebow wasn't supposed to be a first rounder; Tim Tebow wasn't on the radar for most Denver Bronco fans. It's a most welcome off-season present and a little surreal for this Gators-Broncos fan. It's a rare day in the life of a football fan to see his or her favourite collegiate player land at their NFL team. I will definitely savoir the past 24-hours.

I joined Operation Sports as a supporter one day earlier than I anticipated. As I eluded too, I didn’t expect Tim Tebow to be a first round draft pick. In my biased opinion I thought he was worth a first round, though I read and heard the “experts” and all signs pointed to a second round at best, possibly as late as the third or fourth round. I wanted to join the industry leading sports gaming website the day Tebow was drafted. It’s a little odd, but it was how I was going to play it out. So here I am and I can’t be happier than I am right now on a sports fan level.

Whilst there will be haters, the doubters, I implore fans to just sit back and give this guy a chance to breathe. It’s well documented; you won’t meet a nicer bloke off the field. The character of Tim Tebow is not questioned nor is his leadership skills and what he brings to a locker room. What we Broncos fans will have to do is be patient. You can’t be a leader carrying the clip board. Tebow will get his chance in a season or two, though for now, it’s time put him in cotton wool and watch him grow in to a NFL starter.

Welcome to the NFL Tim Tebow. Your Denver Broncos jersey will hang right next to your Florida Gators jersey that shares billing with Terrell Davis and John Elway in our office. Thanks for the memories at Florida, may you create many more in your days as Denver Bronco.

Madden wise Tebow will be the next Mike Vick.... a fast left who is wayyyyyyyy overused. Cant wait for my Niners D to slam those two RBs, I mean QBs to the ground lol.

gamer23 - What da deally with wanting him on division rival, Miami, bruh?? Lol. I'm GLAD he's not with them, being a Jet fan, and so should u be.

Sherman - Nah, I don't think his Madden 11 speed rating is going to be that high. He's not that fast.

T3BOW - Yea, although I am a Seminole fan, I don't hate on Tebow, except when we play him. Lol. I'm not that big of a college ball fan, anyway, but still. I like Tebow. He's definitely a square and in this day and age of everyone wanting to be the biggest, baddest, coolest, muh-cuffas to walk this earth, he's a breath of fresh air.
Talent wise, I think the fact that he's going under the wing of Josh McDaniels, the former QB coach for the Patriots, is going to help him in spades. McDaniels helped get Brady to where he is, today, AND helped shape Matt Cassell to get that 11-5 winning season. Tebow has some great intangibles going for him and his worth ethic is insane in light of the fact of what he is doing to himself to transform his throwing style. I think he'll be alright in the NFL.
