NBA 2K11 has made every sports sim I own barring MLB The Show unplayable. Un-freaking-playable.

The attention to detail and enjoyment from both these titles has raised the bar and enough is enough. I am taking a stand against EA Sports - meet their level or you will lose a long time customer. I have abandoned my franchise and dynasty in both football titles EA offers, both games are on the shelf. NBA 2K11 will be in my console for quite a while, I am sure I am not alone.

NBA 2K11 has raised the bar and sports sim consumers who love their football should take an immediate stand putting EA Sports on notice. I ask all reading this to sign this blog and let's force their hand as opposed to donating routinely each season for a product that is well behind what the NBA 2K crew are dishing up.

If EA Sports cannot meet the new standard, I'd hope we see the 2K crew take over NFL titles in the future and us gamers will be in for a real treat.

Oh and another thing, take note to ALL producers of sports sims: NBA 2K11 lived up to the hype. Outside MLB The Show, no sports sim I know can claim they have done that in quite some time.

The NBA 2K11 effect is a pivotal point in the sports sim timeline, meet the new level or lose customers. That simple.

2k11 has raised the gameplay bar without question. Although there are many areas in which it can be better. Glitches do exist, online play lacks in fun factor, and exploits will always be prevalent. 2k11 is now responsible for changing the face of basketball games forever. I would not be surprised at all if EA sports responds with a basketball title that is either just as good or dare i say MAYBE even better. Live 10 was on the right track until Mike took his Wang back to 2k, along with it, his extraordinary style of implementing simulation basketball to video games. If and when EA gets the game play mechanics down, it will dethrone 2k11 due to the structure and organization of their online game play. Jesus Bynum will be resurrected and hopefully the battle between EA and 2k will never cease because it would only motivate both corporations to make better products time and time again. The next 2k football product that comes out is going to be nothing short of spectacular but I hope that the NFL license will not be exclusive.

I think it says alot that around the forums there's a lot of "all other sports games...except The Show."

With all the credit 2K is getting right now, if I'm Sony I'm sticking my chest out. Because people are STILL respecting The Show. Even with the new beast on the block.

NBA 2K & MLB the Show are way ahead of the opposition. The reason is that both games are created by people with a passion for the sport. EA's games are created by people with a passion for their purse strings.

I love it!!!! I thought I was the only one who felt this way about the rest of my games, I can't play madden or ncaa football anymore after playing 2k. I need for the show to come 360!

I agree wholeheartedly. In my opinion NBA2K11 is at the pinnacle of sports gaming. It is indeed time for EA to step up or get left behind. As good as Madden 11 is this year, it still does not hold a candle to The Show and Nba2k11.

Fifa 11 is a pretty good game. The career/dynasty mode lacks depth and has a bug or two, but the gameplay is excellent (especially on all-manual controls). The difference is that MLB the show and 2k11 are so in depth when it comes to representing their sport on every level.

cosign. NBA 2k11 raised the bar. The Show is a great game, but honestly needs a make over like NBA2k11. Im not knocking The Show but besides presentation, graphics improvement, and a few tweeks that game has been the same since 06.
