Overloaded with realism?

I dunno about anyone else, but since a lot of sports games are going for a ton of realism and such I'm beginning to feel let down when anything is "not realistic enough". I can't really remember when I've just had fun with a game without caring whether a virtual goalie was programmed to play like an actual goalie, or if a virtual baseball player took strikes and balls like his real counterpart.

So... Has anyone ever felt like I am feeling? Somewhat overwhelmed with thinking every sports game needs to be as real as real life?

I have felt that way in the past. There have been games where I was constantly up****** skidded, fosters, etc just to make it more "real." But every time I updated everything, I would then fi.ally start (or restart) my franchise and by the time I got going in the game, I started to get bored or burnt out. I've now come to the point where I get a good base and just play the game. Yeah, there's hiccups but I'm having fun. With all the money we spend on this hobby, realism should be important, but having fun should be the bottom line.
