Only when they've earned it. I think that too many (most) players are making too much money when they haven't even warranted it. They are entertainers first. Their bodies go through a lot. However, for the longest, players have been getting overpaid.

QoTD: Unfotunately, the law of supply and demand allows them to make those salaries. Until our society gets our priorities in order, I doubt we'll ever see a change in that.

They do not deserve to make that much money. If the team owners are willing ot pay it then more they would be stupid not to take it. IMO players should make a very low base salary and the rest based on how they perform during the season.

its a business, like anything else..if they bring in the money they deserve to make it....unfortunately not all live up to that balance

Yes athletes deserve the amount of money they make. The sad thing is they only make a fraction of what the owners put in their pockets.
