Same here, I used to sell them but once I got a job doing inventory & procurement I soon realized the raping game-trade companies were pulling off on customers. They purchase a game at pennies on the dollar, then go about selling the exact same game for only a 10% mark-down of the full-retain price, new. While that business model is great for the company (much like the used-car business), it is a travesty towards consumers. But then again, said companies have to worry about inventory issues & product that isn't moving taking up valueable space.

Regardless, it just feels like a major rip off. Case in point, I took 7 games in to see what I could get credit for and it totaled out to $43, $30 of that coming from my copy of Left 4 Dead. One game, Prey, wasn't even worth a dollar (to them) yet they were selling it used for $17.99 (at the time). That to them is 1700% profit! Just doesn't seem right.

QOTD: I trade them back in if I no longer have use for them. I typically have a very low inventory of games however. I play mostly sports games, so my trade in's are usually only for the upgrade to the next years title.... Other than that, I rarely have any other games I actually own. I prefer renting over buying most other games. I only own one shooter - COD:WaW & GTAIV. CID goes back once the MW2 comes out, and I will likely keep GTA - even when the next one comes out in 2010 or 2011.

I mostly sell my games on amazon.com. Favorites I will keep. I have about 25 xbox 360 games.

I keep all my games. I may not play them much after having them a long time, but you never know when you'll have the urge to. Even old sports games can be fun with "throwback rosters".

The only game I've ever traded in was NCAA 2005 for Gamecube. I got an Xbox that came with NCAA 2005 and Top Spin so it was a no brainer to trade the GC NCAA in and get MVP 2005 for $10 on Xbox.
