I remember it being just yesterday that me, Terry, Rob and Clay would post about anything and everything, just to get the Forums active. The site would go days w/o a single post.
Bigger and better things are on the horizon, here at OS. Thanks to everyone that is a part of this site. Spread the word.

QOTD: Great time-killer at work. It's a great resource for gaming news. The impressions on games are a very valuable resource, as they saved me $60 last year on MLB 2k8 and led me to buy the outstanding College Hoops 2k8 instead.

I remember I initially joined OS back in 1999! I remember a few of us from those times, Steelerfan, Pacman, Steve (of course). I remember talking about Dreamcast stuff on those forums, wow, that was a long time ago!

Although I've only been here for 6 years and haven only started posting with any regularity the past 2 years, OS has been the place I visit everyday online. Countless hours spent on here reading my sports news and my sports gaming news.
My fondest memories of OS are always how the community is before a big release. OS has helped me get games early a bunch of times, as well as up to the date and great rosters.
Look forward to all OS is gonna bring in the future.

I remember I was apart of the 2Kforums. I just couldn't get enough of sports video games. I wanted to get some more out of my internet surfing though. One of the guys that I was on there with mentioned OS. SO I googled and get a look at the site. Joined up for my 2K sports & EA information. Been hooked ever since. Beautiful site with great guys/gals contributing in all aspects. I need to view OS at least once a day.

Congrats on 100,000 members. Been coming here for quite a few years, changed my username a while back though. Started coming here for NCAA rosters, but now I come back daily for The Show news and developer comments.

It's sad to see the total collapse of Midway after seeing Acclaim go bankrupt just a few years ago. I know the economy is bad right now, but these are iconic video game names in the world. Midway was at one time considered to be a major player. It's just ashame to see.
The THQ story is also another sign of the times and in my opinion it reflects the lack of quality titles in general in this console cycle (X360, PS3). I feel like there have been some great games, but far more disappointments this time around as compared to the Xbox and Ps2 days. It goes back to quality control and poor, sloppy testing.
As for memories on OS, I've been posting here so long I cannot narrow it down to one memorable moment. I have met some great people through the site and got to know many more folks that I never would have had the opportunity to interact with in everyday life. I miss alot of the old posters that were here circa 2002-2003. I have fond memories of the rosters forum and the "Fossen Years" under his moderation leadership. Also had some terrific NFL 2K5 battles, Links 2004 get together matches, and even recently some great experiences with NBA 2K9.
So much has changed for better or worse since I first signed up here. I do like the addition of the arena. It's right up there with my favorite things that have happened to the site since I've been here.
