I usually enjoy it, but it just wasn't the same for me this year. The dunk contest wasn't bad, but the actual game was horrible, 3 point contest...boring. The other 2 events were crap. They looked like they didn't even care to be in the events. Dumb. Horse? Please. The jabba-whatever show from Shaq was pretty cool tho.

QOTD: I didn't get to watch much of the events. I usually only watch the Saturday night stuff. I was looking forward to HORSE, but I heard it wasn't that great. I did see the dunk contest, it was ok.

QOTD: Don't really care for the NBA besides occasional check of the standings to see how "my team" is doing (the New Orleans Hornets). So no, didn't watch the All-Star Game festivities. I wouldn't mind seeing some highlights though.

I actually liked the HORSE event, considering it was the first time ever as well. The rest of the weekend was pretty bad, and the dunk contest was so lame just because of the scoring.
42 for Rudy Fernandez on his first dunk, and 43 on his second?
The second dunk he did (although he tried a lot) was so much better than anything the rest of the night.
Also, how did Nate Robinson get 46? on his first dunk, which was the EXACT SAME as Jr Smiths dunk? (He got 43 i believe)

I enjoyed All-Star Weekend. HORSE (err... "GEICO") wasn't bad, but the players just needed to be a bit more creative with shots. Too many simple jumpshots. If they get someone like Gilbert Arenas to do it next year, it will be much more fun to watch.
I disagree about the three-point shootout being boring... it went into a sudden-death shootout! I would like to see Sasha Vujacic and Ray Allen get in it next year.
The dunk competition was entertaining, but not as good as last year. The judges absolutely stunk it up. Also, when they were rolling that goal out for Dwight Howard, I was expecting something ridiculous, but it ended up being pretty average (as much as dunking on a 12 foot goal can be "average").
The first half of the actual All-Star game was probably the most fundamentally sound half of all-star basketball in history. It finally devolved into more of a show than a game in the second half. Shaq passing it through Dwight's legs on the give-and-go was the highlight of the night.
