Utah went undefeated and won a BCS bowl and until there is a playoff, I have to say yes they deserve a share.

Utah does not deserve a share of the title. They aren't playing in the title game and just beating Alabama along with a much easier non BCS schedule isn't enough to give them a share imo.

So chapped about the 1UP/EGM debacle.

No way do they get a share because of their weak OOC schedule. If smaller conferences want to get a chance to play for the BCS NC then they need to schedule a few big schools every year (not Michiganand Oregon State). Schedule a USC or a top tier SEC team during the regular season and then if they go undefeated I guarantee they will play for the BCS NC. Until then, the most they can hope to achieve is the at large BCS bid to a lower BCS bowl. They don't even have a conference championship game - which is one less game they have to play as well.

People are missing the point. This isn't about the BCS Championship. It's a share of the recognized national championship (i.e. the AP National Champion).
