The Dukes had a dog fight in their first game since moving up from FCS play. Turnovers were the story early (a lot on me.. a lil rusty after some time off) JMU defense did well to keep the team in the game throughout. It looked like the Blue Raiders were about to go up 14 early in the 4th but JMU cornerback Swann was able to break in front of the screen & give the Dukes a chance to go tie. We were able to tie & force a 3&out on the next drive. Which would lead to JMU first lead w/ 4min to go in the game. MTSU would answer w/ just under 1min remaining. The Dukes were able to drive down the field & hit a 43 yard field goal to survive a terrible performance & claim our first FBS win! JMU will need to clean up the turnovers if they want to keep winning as we continue on with the season. Next up for the Dukes will be Norfolk State.
