Defenses ruled the day early with no points scored in quarter one. Though the Irish had a great chance on their first drive but Buchner threw a pick in the endzone.
The games first touchdown came on a 50 yd run by Tyree giving us the 7-0 lead early in the second.
The teams would trade punts the rest of the quarter until Notre Dame got their first takeaway near the end of the first half and were able to cash it in for 6 a few plays later making it 14-0 Irish headed to the break.
The defenses continued to dominate and neither team would score until Notre Dame put together a lengthy drive capping it off with a 22 yd pass to Wilkins.
After another stop by the Irish we were able to pretty much ice it early in the 4th on a 17 yd pass to Mayer making it 28-0.
As we were trying to run out the clock we scored one more tuddy.
Notre Dame proved they are clearly the #1 team in the land after handing Stanford its first lost of the year in dominating fashion 35-0

The Irish are looking poised to repeat as Big 10 and National Champion but will have to continue to improve on turnovers and see if the defense can continue to dominate.
Notre Dame being ranked #1 in the coaches poll all year should finally take over the Media Poll top spot from Iowa State and hopefully the top team in the first release of the College football Playoff rankings set to come out next week.
Next week should be an easy win as we take on 1-5 Big 10 foe Mizzouri on the road.
