Heading into week 10 Notre Dame has taken over the top spot in the BCS rankings after beating #12 USC 45-17 & #17 Nebraska 45-31 in weeks 8-9.

This week the Irish take on 4-3 Virginia Tech.

While the Cowboys sit at #11 in the BCS poll. they host 3-4 Arizona

Other key games across the nation
#3 Kansas State travels to #2 Iowa State in a battle of unbeatens and key game in the Big 12 divisional race. The past 2 weeks Iowa State has won by just 3 points against PennSt & UCLA we will see if they can find a way to win again. Whoever the winner is they will likely overtake ND for the top spot in the rankings going into week 11.

A couple in state rivalries going down this weekend. No longer conferences foes thanks to conference realignment but still bragging rights on the line. (I thought very cool game keeps those rivalries as the non conf games when you shift conf around)

#6 North Carolina @ #24 NC State
#16 Michigan @ Michigan State

two of the Pac 12s top teams meet up with #12 Georgia Tech @ #18 Louisiana. A Ragin Cajun win would set up an interesting Week 11 game vs Division leader Nevada. The yellow jackets fell to the Wolf pack in week 8 21-42.
