Game Notes
The Irish come in undefeated and the defending National Champion. Their road to repeat will start the same as last year. They will take on the #8 Alabama Crimson Tide. Notre Dame won last years meeting 35-23. This one should be a good one unless the Tide get rolled by the dominate Irish defense #1 against the run & #4 in points allowed. Prediction Notre Dame 30 Alabama 24.

Game Notes
#2 Purdue comes in as ACC champion beating Baylor 37-34 last week. Purdue loves to throw it and Buckeyes not great at defending the pass. Could be the difference in this one. #7 Ohio State enters after a last second loss to Arizona State 26-27 in the Big 12 title game. There is a chance we get a trilogy in the ASUvOSU saga if they both win their 1st rd games. Prediction Purdue 42 Ohio State 38

Game Notes
#3 Arizona State comes in off revenging their toughest lost of the year & beat Ohio State 27-26 claiming the Big 12 title. If the defense can play decent Sun Devils could make a deep run in the playoffs. #6 TCU By far one of the better offensives teams in the playoff but their defense can struggle at times. They lost the SEC title game 45-26 to Utah. So we will see if the frogs can stop the Sun Devils strong pass attack. Prediction Arizona State 42 TCU 35

Game Notes
#4 Utah comes in as the lone 3 loss team to make the field of 8. They blew out and upset at the time #2 TCU to claim the SEC title taking the automatic playoff bid all the way from being ranked #15 just a week before. #5 Air Force was the highest ranked non power 4 champion and couldnt be left out especially after being one of two unbeaten teams through the regular season. Falcons defensive should keep them it as long as the offense can manage some short of points this one should be tight. Prediction Utah will have more passing yards.. all kidding aside.
