For our first entry of Short and Sweet we got to sit down with CSBA Duke Blue Devils Point Guard Mojo Rizing.

Mears: Starting off the season with a win Im sure is a huge confidence booster for you! Also a lot of people are saying you are a big favorite for POTY. Do you feel like there is some pressure there due to expectations? And if not how do you manage this expectations so they don�t effect your game?

Rizing: When you're on top everyone sees you. Everyone wants to be like you. Everyone wants to put up the #'s and Win Championships like you. So theres expectations that comes with a price. If you miss a shot, whats wrong with Mojo? you lose the ball, whats wrong mojo? if you lose a game, whats wrong with Mojo & his team? You gotta Rize above or drown. Pressure to me is just a word about fear,. I aint worry about it. Everyone deals with it - some deal with it like Mojo do, and some don't. But when you figure it out, how important it is to you, and you dont feel fear and environment its in, I look for pressure. I enjoy pressure. I look forward to it. I believe every time imma be on the court, Mojo's the best. The more shots Mojo hits, the more plays Mojo makes, the more games Mojo wins, reinforces it. When I miss, cause no matter how great you are, you gonna miss, but Mojo ain't let it bother me, I trust my coaches and teammates, and I built Mojo to have great confidence. Is what Re2pect on the Name means.

UCTX Conference Invite!

Coming up from the FCS the UCTX Tanners have accepted an invitation to play in the Sun Belt Conference. The contract is only from 2013-2015 but it is a great opportunity to get the Tanners recognition as a Group of 5 program. Being in Texas A&M�s backyard UCTX has always struggled with recruiting but the program feels that the jump to FBS could open doors for the program. The Tanners have already had many Power 5 programs reach out to schedule them for a early season game or �warm up� game. Those schools are LSU, Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, and even as far north as Minnesota. Although no out it conference games have been scheduled yet the Tanners are in talks with two of these schools. The Sun Belt Conference had also extended invitations to New Mexico, Georgia Southern, and Old Dominion. We will keep you updated as news rolls in for this exciting first season as a FBS program! Starting off with a bang! UCTX Dynasty.

UCTX started off the season hot with 6 wins in a row over Boston College, Texas State, Texas, Nebraska, SMU and UTSA. They travel to Southbend to play Notre Dame next and they have earned the ranking of the #17 team in the nation. I'll keep y'all updated on their journey to shake up the BCS Polls.
