With the signing of Kyle Lohse the Brewers had to give up their first round pick to the St. Louis Cardinals.

2nd Round - Roy Potter 2B
Overall - 59
Potential - B
Age 20
Its to early to tell if Potter will ever make it to the Bigs. Speed, Durability and Bunting are his best attributes, he will start his career off at the AA level.

3rd Round - Bert Laughlin C
Overall - 58
Potential - C
Age 18
Looks to be a career minor leaguer. Good fielding, adds depth to minor league AA team.

4th Round - David Craven 1B
Overall - 50
Potential - C
Age 19
Needs to improve a lot to be able to sniff AAA, average ability at the AA level.

5th Round - Lucas Odom LF
Overall - 50
Potential - C
Age 20
Another AA player and probably wont make it any further

6th Round - Alexander Lusk CF
Overall - 41
Potential - A
Age 21
If hes able to make it to the majors it will be late in his career depending on how fast he can develop his skills

7th Round - Jerome Reilly C
Overall - 40
Potential - C
Age - 21
Needs to improve fielding behind the plate if he wants to stay in baseball, Single A is where he will find himself for now.

Overall the draft doesn't make the future look bright for Milwaukee, not having a first round pick hurts but hopefully next years draft will help bolster the talent in the minors.
