Blazers Season
Posted on October 5, 2010 at 05:20 PM.
So I popped in the game and was treated to a Bulls game against the ('91) Lakers. Jordan is ridiculous! The game was tight through three quarters, but their double teaming left guys open on the perimeter and the Bulls pulled away and took Game 1. I then tried a Jordan challenge where I had to face the Hawks. Even though I won the game, I did not complete the challenge because 'Nique was a BEAST! I will definitely be putting time into this mode.
So now I'm ready to begin my Association with the Blazers; a good mid-tier team that has potential to break out. Here we go.

Settings: Pro / Sim, 10 min qtrs

Game 1: Phoenix. (W 72-59)
This game will take some getting used to. I made some pre-game adjustments on defense (Thanks, Czar!) but really just wanted to get into it and see how the game plays. It was tight most of the way. I thought I would try to dominate with Roy, but he was "off", scoring only 17 points on 7 of 23 and only one 3pt. The star was Aldridge, who finished with 21 points, 13 boards and 4 block shots. Oden stayed healthy and contributed 12 and 14 rebs. Phoenix definitely liked to run, but they couldn't hit the ocean with their shooting.

Low scoring game. I decided to try 12 min qtrs and see how it plays out...

Game 2: L.A. Clippers (W 96-83)
Roy rebounded from the previous game, leading Portland to an easy win on the road. Shooting was not perfect (12 for 26) Aldridge was big again with a 19/15 game while Oden scored 16 and added 16 boards. Two games and he's still healthy! That's a big plus.We also got Kamen in foul trouble, which limited their inside presence.

Heading to the Big Apple for the 2nd of a 4-game road trip, but will hit the lab first to work on freethrow timing and set plays. So far, this game has been hot!

# 1 Scriptures22 @ Oct 6
Took my first L in New York. Amare went off and every run I made was countered as the Knicks ran away with a 108-88 victory. I apparently jinxed myself above as Oden was injured prior to the game and will be out 1-2 weeks. New York is undefeated and I'm on my way to Chicago, hoping to avoid and early .500 record...
