Has 2K basketball become too scripted to be fun?

When will the sim nation call out the 2K developers for the scripted action in the 2K basketball series? Over the past few games the scripted action has almost made VS. games unplayable due to the unbalanced natures of the scripted sequences. The 2K team has put together a great game of basketball but it’s tough to enjoy it since the game is so scripted. The animation heavy engine has run its course and it shows.
