Jim Fassel: from Big Blue to Double Blue?

Sheesh, Fassel has gotten himself in the news lately. Just the other day it was reported that he wrote a letter to Al Davis expressing interest in becoming Raiders coach (does he have a death wish?) and now there's a report from Rogers Sportsnet that the Toronto Argos of the CFL are eying him to fill their vacant head coaching spot.

I guess this makes some sense what with the two coaches in the Grey Cup this year. Calgary's coach is John Hufnagel who's been a longtime QB and offensive coach in the NFL and Montreal's coach is Marc Trestman who's best known for his college and NFL work. At least Hufnagel had experience coaching in the CFL prior to this year but Trestman has NEVER worked in the CFL before. The Argos are of the mind that Fassel is in the same mold as he's done a lot of work with QBs and has a lot of coaching experience.

Pretty interesting stuff.
