My Sleeping Pattern Sucks plus Song of the Week #6

Before we get to the highlight of the week on my little blogspace I need to bitch about my sleeping pattern. So I go through stretches where I can't sleep at all at night and then I end up sleeping at 7-8 AM and wake up around 3 or 4 PM. I can live with that but then I go through seemingly longer stretches like the one i'm in now where I can't even stay up past 9 PM! I invariably wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall back to sleep. This plays havoc on me and I hate it.

LOL, I'm with ya there on the sleeping pattern, bud. Myself, I work 2nd shift (3-11:30 PM) so by the time I get home its around 11:45-midnight. I RARELY get tired before 3-4 AM, but lately (such as right now) I seem to not get tired at all. Then I force myself to bed around 8 AM, roll around forever, and have to be up at 12 noon to start getting ready for work. On the flip side, sometimes I'll be tired after work, go to bed around 4 AM, and won't wake up until my alarm wakes me up at noon. UGH...I just wish I had a somewhat normal sleeping pattern

Always seems to be around the holidays I can't get to sleep. To preface this, I need to wake up at 4am to get to work by 6am. I haven't been able to fall asleep until 1 or 2 am, but I found a trick for myself.

Stay up until 3am, sleep for an hour, go to work get home around 4am and go to bed around 7:30. I went to bed at 7:30 last night and woke up at 4am. Oh yeah, back on schedule!

My sleep pattern is predictable but sucks right now. I've always been a morning person but if my little girl wakes up early (been doing this around 5 am), I'm always up and then struggle to stay awake at night. I'm crashing before 9 pm sometimes and have to PVR shows like Heroes which I missed last night. I need to push the body clock back up a notch.
