Ron Burgundy's Thoughts
Well, it's time for attempt number two on having a successful series. We'll call it an opening day retry. The Dodgers beat us three straight in the first series, but we get a chance to even up our record with three against the Giants. We got lucky and caught the back end of their rotation, but we still have to face Lincecum in the last game of the series. Hopefully we can hit Sanchez and Zito around before we have to face "The Freak" in game three. That kid is unhittable. You look at him and think, "He looks like the before picture in those Old Spice commercials". Then he throws that nasty hook at you and it's all over. Let's hope our offense wakes up in the first two games, because game three could get dicey. If we drop all three games of an in-division series it could mean trouble for us already. Anybody got Tony Gwynn's number? We could use another bat in our lineup.
