Why do we love sports? They are a microcosm of life in some sorts. We are an impassioned nation of sports fans. There is beauty in the movement of the games. It’s a form of expression in it’s most genuine form. Playing off the emotional attachments to these games we love, a business of sports in this nation was born – it flourished. Rising from the days of boxing and baseball in the poorest of economic times early 20th century, people turned to something to do – to love. People love to play sports. We love the debates. We love the heartache of being a fan. We love the energy; The adrenaline of being in the moment. Blood rushing through our skeleton – energizing our muscles. And if we aren’t in it, we so desperately want to be.

So that’s where simulation video games step in. Playing into the hands of our truest and strongest passions; they deliver access to the professional sports in ways we can never live on our own. Coaching an NFL team. Playing quarterback in the Super Bowl. Even defeating opponents online brings satisfaction. Dropping us into the enormity of a 60,000 packed stadium all cheering for you. The games put you on the field. We become attached to the colors, the sights, the smells, the athletes, and that feelin - the rush.
