Lighning with Thunder struck more than twice - Durant sets new career high

They say lightning never strikes at same place twice. Well there are a lot of things wrong with this "fact" when we are talking about basketball, Oklahoma and Kevin Durant. He set a career high 54 point record, which in the current NBA is rarity. We don't really see anybody scoring around the 50 mark now days. He pretty much defeated the Warriors in the 3rd and 4th quarters. He had more points by the end of the 3rd quarters than most players have at the end of the game and there were still 12 minutes to play. I'm going get to the defensive failures of the Golden State players, but everybody has to admit it's really hard to defend Durant when he really heats up and starts to score from everywhere.

My biggest problem during the game was Andre Igoudala. While in my previous post I praised him because of his amazing defensive abilities he goes denies me straight up. He could hold down Durant at all. Everytime he locked him down in a one-on-on situation he failed. I've seen him do incredible things on defense and offense as well, but last night I couldn't see that. On the offensive side of things he only scored 2. I don't what's going on with him, but he did much better last season and even then he wasn't himself. Now my main Golden Boy Stephen Curry brought his game scoring 37 and assisted 11 times which is amazing. He played like no one else can on that position. Now I'm not saying I'm taking sides and stating that he is the best point guard, but his efforts and play making combined with his scoring ability makes him one of the best. What can I say? It was an interesting game. Amazing highlights and it had the factor where you jump from your seat because of the quality of basketball you can see. Thunder won 127 to 121, but even until the very end the Warriors were there and fought.
