Rewmac's Blog
As promised I continue my Brooklyn Nets blog. This time it will be on Brook Lopez and the bench players along with the recent happenings and my future predictions.
Center - Brook Lopez
Brook Lopez in my eyes is one of the best centers in the league currently and he is getting better every year. While the way he plays on offense has not changed that much from last year, he seem much more dynamic and effective. I like that he can pressure where very few can. I think he could be better on defense, but since he is not your typical "I'm standing here as a brick wall" type of center and has support from Kris or Evans (as little as Evans can add to the games in my opinion) he will manage. He attacks the rim so effectively and moves like he isn't 7 feet tall at all. I would love to see him in a few years in his prime. He is capable of much more.
Bench
Reggie Evans
Reggie isn't my type of power forward, ha can't really score, hold off offensive players or attack the rim constantly. Sure he has some nice moments, but that alone isn't enough to call him a main backup on the front court. I do think with the front developing quickly, the Nets need a good sub for Humphries.
CJ Watson
Someone I can go with. As Deron can move to shooting guard occasionally or Watson can fill the two backcourt can be really good. Watson adds a lot to the game play as he is your typical point guard who can find you, but score well if he is open. A good backup, but nothing more than that. I wouldn't use him as a starter at all as he can't defend is position well, even though a lot of people say he can, I don't think he has the speed or agility to do it now days.
