NBA Recap 11.10 - Pacers vs Wizards
Posted on November 11, 2012 at 05:00 AM.

A little Indiana basketball is aways fun to see along with watching Bradley Beal getting better and better game-by-game. Though it seemed like the Pacers struggled without Granger in the first half it was one of those games you don't want to miss. The Beal - Okafor combo seems to work very well, though Indiana's team work and build offense worked better. Paul George is really getting to the status of an all-star sometimes. Scoring 20 points, grabbing 7 rebound, giving 3 assists all this while shooting 8 out 12 from the field. The is what I like to see. I always liked this Indiana build and I really thought that loosing Collison was going to hurt them, but it seems they got something way better. As far as I'm concerned George Hill, Paul George and Roy Hibbert are going to be huge this season, no matter what anybody thinks. Granger's injury as much as I don't want to say this might just make his teammates get better. The only problem with Indiana is the bench. Tyler Hansbrough seem to me the kinda player who can hold off offense and attack the rim occasionally then the next day he goes below an avarage player and makes stupid mistakes. Green is the one along with Augustin who need to really get into the position of the bench powerhouses (I mean it of course scoring while defending positions). If these 3 months will do what I think, when Granger comes back Indiana is going to be a bigger threat then ever. For some strange reason I like David West's play style. Even though is age he is a power forward with the focus on power. 11 points would be okay, but 4 out of 16 tries seems to be that he isn't really trying to find his shots. He was able to last season let's hope he goes back to his "old" self for the rest of the season.

Wizards are getting that relevant status with Bradley Beal. The kid showed us this summer that he can dunk, score and assist. To me it always comes down to NBA court. You have to keep it together and perform at a high level when thousands are watching you and you are under pressure. Bradley Beal just seems to be able to do it. While John Wall wasn't around Beal and Okafor has put up a serious show. Okafor with 17 points and 8 rebounds while managing a 8-18 ratio from the field which isn't overall that good, but might be better than Westbrook's "I can shoot" kinda day performances. My new favored Bradley Beal shot 3 Three pointers out of his 3 that means he was a 100% 3PT shooter last night (oooohh my) he scored 17 points, hunted down 6 rebounds and gave his teammates 2 assists in the process. Some nice plays, I wonder what's going to happen in Washington when John Wall comes back. AJ Price needs to hold it together and the new starting 5 will be a beast. This power and a little nice coaching could indeed make the Wizards relevant again. One problem though. WHERE'S THE BENCH? I know, I know rebuilding, but seriously they need at least one person who is a true sixth man. If they can get that they can even get to the playoffs.

After an amazing 4 quarters and a huge amount of excitement the Pacers managed to beat the Wizards from the capital, but it was a true battle for the that one win.
