NBA Recap Friday 2012-11-09 Part One

It was nice to see the Hawks going all the way at home for 2 quarters. I don't know what happened in the 3rd, but something must have came up because the offense lacked the pressure needed to overcome the Heat. Miami playing without Dwayne Wade, but was still able to pull off a win. LeBron James scoring 21 points grabbing 11 rebounds and giving 9 assists was a performance in itself. Chris Bosh scoring 24 giving 2 assists himself, but only grabbing 5 rebounds. Ray Allen scoring 17 from the bench also shows that the Miami bench is more dangerous than ever. The injured Josh Smith got 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds, including a monster fast break slam dunk on the Miami defense. Jeff Teague showed us again why he is one of the top point guards in the league today. Scoring 7 out 8 from the field which brought him to a total of 20 points while also giving 11 assists and grabbing 3 rebounds. Not surprising, that Anthony Morrow showed how it is done scoring 6 out 11 from the field which brought him 17 points. I would have liked to see what would happen if both teams are a 100%. Josh Smith is still injured, Wade wasn't there. I wonder how much pressure can Atlanta give the Heat under normal circumstances.

Brooklyn, Brooklyn...Finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel. It's shame that I have to see this without Gerald Wallace. I just like that dude, he is beast when is okay. Lopez grabbing 7 rebounds and scoring 14 is finally something I can go with. Joe Johnson scoring 13 and giving 4 assists seems a bit low to me, not to mention 12 points and same amount of assists for Deron. I know, I know they finally showed teamwork I was craving for. Something happened to them, though it was the Magic, which became a below mediocre team since the Dwight trade. Like I said in my Nets blog Humphries could be stronger on offense scoring 8 and grabbing 6 rebounds is nice, but 3 from 7 field goal attempts is low. He should try to take more shots make his presence felt on offense. Though I have nothing to complain about since the Nets sunk the Magic 107 to 68, so this should give them a nice confidence boost going forward in the season.

The Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis duo showed us why is so nice to like smaller teams. Ellis pushing his game to the limit with some unselfish play. Scoring 22 giving 5 assists and grabbing 5 rebounds which makes him overall stronger than last year. Brandon Jennings is a point guard I'd like to have on my team, great talent and improving fast and well. 7 assists while getting 12 points in the process. Bradley Beal 3rd overall pick, seems to the next big thing in Washington. Scoring 22 and shooting 50% from the field. Nice play nothing really special other than the combat. Bradley Beal, who probably is the Wizards future star made a hard foul on Monta Ellis, which Mr. Jennings found way too much so he wiped the floor with the rookie. Stupid move boy!!! What are you doing?? This led to Jennings being sent to his locker room. Despite the happenings the Bucks went on and won this one 101 to 91.

The currently unbeaten Knicks remain undefeated. Nice game from Carmelo scoring 31 points grabbing 7 rebounds while managing 10 out of 22 from the field. Carmelo finally showed us that he is the player we see him to be. It seems like the forward spot might just work better for him. The Knicks are seem to be better without Stoudemire. J.R. Smith my favorite sixth man scoring 22 off the bench was nicer than I hoped. As much as I love the Mavericks they didn't have enough tonight. Even Carter's 15, Kaman's 14 and OJ Mayo's 23 couldn't help Dallas through New York and were defeated 94 to 104. I liked Dallas's previous fighting mentality, but the same didn't work against the Knicks. OJ Mayo is better than ever, but he needs better support. Collison is a very good player, but Mayo needs a front court to play with. Sometimes I just feel like my prediction aren't going well as I thought that the Knicks without Amare'e will be weaker and stand down, but it seems it helped their chemistry big time. New York can finally feel that they might just have enough this season.

yea , melo needs to start at the 4 and when amare comes back he should come off the bench. if hes willing to sacrafice his starting position i believe the knicks will be better for it. plus we also still waiting on shump to come back which will add another great defender. in relation to the starting line up i believe the saying "if it aint broke dont fix it' applies. thats just me tho

Currently I can agree. However Stoudemire's return will make Melo go back to 3 and the current success might just come to an end. Even though Amare'e is great player.

i think woodson should realise that he has a winning formula at the moment, but it is highly unlikely that stoudemire will come off the bench. plus they are stacked at the F positions. maybe im wrong, maybe he can com back and melo can play the 3 and stoudemire the 4 and they're still sucessful. i sure hope so

The problem is that you are right. Though I don't see the any reason behind benching Amare'e for a couple of games and see what goes. I'm look at the Kings or the Hawks both have one of their best players benched and thing is working. Well for the Kings the team chemistry and coaching on other parts is a problem, but for the Hawks it's working and it worked for the Thunder too.
