Lakers
It's clear that Lakers have no chemistry and Dwight isn't playing that well now either. I don't see them to be the super team that everyone predicted. 19 from Howard is nice and all, but he should be a stronger force. Nash could aid them, but I think there is too much star power.

Mavericks
Mavericks are coming up nicely. Good to see that Mayo was worth it after all and a none Nowitzki team can isn't holding their own, rather scoring and pushing forward. Dropping the points and making sure the offensive play is good enough. Elton Brand is a strong dude I always like his play style. Similar to what Brandon Bass is bringing under the rim in Boston. Carter was a beast. With his 35 years of age scoring 17 off the bench and making a monster block is top story. Kaman was surprising as well with his jump shots, though he could be more active on defense, but it he surely worked on his scoring.

Brooklyn/Heat
For Brooklyn it's sad. They were so hyped (don't get me wrong), but they lack defense and chemistry on offense. There something really bad going on there. I don't know what to say. I know they played without Wallace, but that alone shouldn't make a team composed of good players this ineffective. Miami's big 3 all above 20 points was crazy, they are better than they were last year. Watch out East...

Hawks/Pacers
Glad to see the Hawks improving their offense without Johnson, but I would have liked to see what would have happened if Granger would have played, I think we all know the answer. I don't know what was wrong with Smith, but he didn't play the game he should have. I know that he is injured and supposed to play through it, but I never understood the point of having a 30% player playing. Stevenson and Morrow could have handled it pretty well, then Josh could recover more quickly. West dropping 20 was nice to see though, I always thought he is a very good player, but he needed time to get there.

Boston/Washington
Boston win in OT? It's strange to see that they should be the stronger team yet they can't really make that clear. I know they still need to learn to adept to the new play style, but surely Doc will handle that part. Celtics need to show why they are considered one of the top teams of the Eastern Conference.

Sacramento
As for Sacramento, I really really want to see more improvement on defense and plays ran on offense. They are playing much of a game that isn't fit for them. Improvement can be seen, but there is much to do with the Kings. They have the talent, but they need to utilize it somehow. Thornton could be so much better defensively along with Evans. Then a big 3 could be formed. Thomas needs to learn his role and not fall into the "Westbrook type" point guard hole.

Clippers/Spurs
Clippers showing that DeAndre is huge on defense and can score as well. Some LA team play for the win. I love to see when it's about teamwork and not certain players scoring. They held off San Antonio's teamwork and defended against a good scoring point guard Tony Paker. They surely have a long way, but nothing is impossible now.
