Game 29 Review of the 76ers PNO Challenge -vs CubasFinest1986 (MIN)

1st Half - Meeting the gameplan (see previous blog entry) objectives were the most difficult challenge we've faced all year... defensively more so than offensively because I am not used to utilizing the trap functions, nor playing zone defense. We couldn't get into any rhythm offensively because I was so spent on trying to hit so many buttons to play defense. I believe he remained in the lead going into the 2nd Qtr, but not by much. I'll verify when we head to the filmroom and review the tape later. Offensively we were faced with what I like to the 6th Man Zone (where the opponents runs a zone defense and always controls the furthest man away from the play - hoping that the cpu does all the work for him), so it was difficult sticking with OBJ#3 (see gameplan). We ended up building a good lead after the half, but it wasn't credited to executing the gameplan because most of the buckets were from capitalizing on the open man in transition as a result of his weird defense.

2nd Half - objective was to win the game and make adjustments necessary... I reverted to Man To Man Defense which was I believe was a mistake because he gradually came back, chewing up my PGs for the most part. Offensively we stuck with all 3 Objectives, and ended up only calling a handful of plays along the way because I wanted to see if the CORNER w/ Scoring Actions was effective versus that style of defense. I'll let the viewers be the judge.... hope to get some feedback from you guys (even negative feedback is welcome)... On to the next one.
