Hurricanes Send Islanders Home with Loss

The Carolina Hurricanes made fairly quick work of the New York Islanders last night, cruising to a 5-3 victory that was never in doubt. The Hurricanes got a boost from Tuomo Ruutu and Pat Dwyer, each contributing two goals to the winning cause. It was a bit of a rocky game for Cam Ward, giving up three goals on only 17 shots but was good enough to earn his 6th win of the season.
