Playing under the lights at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, the Yankees scored enough runs to beat the Angels, taking a 4-1 decision. Andy Pettitte gave up 1 run and 4 hits over 6 innings of work, and that was good enough for him to record his 3rd win of the season, and 3rd in a row. Curtis Granderson was a spark plug offensively, picking up 4 hits in 4 at-bats.

The two teams wrap up the series this afternoon, with Javier Vazquez (1-1, 6.75) and the Yankees set to take on Ervin Santana (1-1, 5.40) and the Angels. Erick Aybar hopes to add to his 17-game hitting streak.
