Yankees treat Twins like minor-league fodder in big rout for New York.

Last night at Target Field, a disappointed crowd of 26,506 saw the Twins drop a 7-2 decision to the Yankees.

Alex Rodriguez slugged a inside the park home run and drove in 3 runs, going 2-for-5 at the plate to lead the offense.

Allowing 5 hits in 6 innings, Cliff Lee was able to pick up his 3rd win of the season with some -- ok, a lot -- of help from his 'pen.

The series concludes under the lights tonight, with Andy Pettitte (7-1, 3.10) getting the nod for the Yankees, while the Twins send Carl Pavano (1-3, 4.60) to the hill.


The Yankees acquired C Russell Martin from the Dodgers for LF Carl Crawford and C Austin Romine.
