EA Must've Visited the Big XII Offices Stuck

No really, think about it. A high powered offensive game where each game is a back and forth battle with ridiculous offensive scores. Sounds like the Big XII doesn�t it?

While I do agree that the game was geared a bit too heavy towards the offense � especially when it was released in July � this season has been another prime example how sometimes, truth is stranger than fiction.

If a gamer got a 61-41 final score in NCAA Football 09, most likely the gamer would�ve screamed at the top of his lungs that the game was too balanced towards the offense and it wasn�t realistic.

I�m going to issue a declaration, NCAA Football 09 is as realistic as your mind allows it to be. I�m not saying the game is an all-timer as far as quality goes, I�m just saying that the naysayers are probably in the crowd that would see a 61-41 final in NCAA and scream at the unrealistic results.

Sometimes, truth is stranger than fiction folks.

I agree some what, but the problem is this is NCAA Football 09 not Big 12 College Football 2009. Not all teams run the spread, not all teams score tons of points....."Big what if" Alabama beats say Oklahoma for the national Championship? Alabama does it with Defense not the high scoring spread. The needs more balance!

I agree. The average Big 12 teams were scoring over 33 points a game before last weekend. It probably went up from there. But even the average NCAA team averages around 27 points a game. Defensive battles are abnormal in NCAA - even among the best teams. The BCS Bowls are usually high scoring as well. For those screaming for 13-10 battles, they must be really disappointed every Saturday. The game might not be perfect but it's fun and not that unrealistic with regards to scoring.

As for Bama, let's see how well that defense does against Florida. If they can hold them under 20 I'd be really surprised.
