Online Dynasty going fully online is a welcome sight, but...

In case you missed it, Online Dynasty is going fully online with most of it's features.
Recruiting in your web browser? Done. Scheduling? Yep. Dynasty Reports? That too.
I'm giving the NCAA 11 team early credit for moving forward with their title after a rather melancholy year with NCAA Football 10. Along with the tweaks already mentioned within dynasty mode, this is a welcome addition and will be huge for a large number of NCAA gamers who like to share their dynasties.
There are some serious changes in the title this year. But I'm not ready to crown the game as a much improved title and a must buy just yet. There are things which need to be watched in the coming month to see how things unfold: will the defenses actually have a chance in NCAA 11? Is the new coat of paint over dynasty just covering up a rusty old core? Is there going to be a bug or two that practically ruins the gameplay right out of the box?
These are all potential pitfalls for NCAA 11, among others which I didn't mention. But all signs are pointing towards a much improved game this year. What do you think? Do you think NCAA is poised for a big year or do you think the game is stuck in a rut? Let me hear your thoughts!

i think the new realignment in college football has a chance to make the game obsolete already. unless of course they find a way to update the divisions after the release. who wants to play in the big 12 if it doesnt exist anymore

What can the team do to fix the potential realignment problem? Honestly even now there isn't anything set in stone. How can they even think of a patch before they know what they are patching?

The 1st thing they could do is allow gamers the ability to play with more than 12 created teams offline. There's no reason this feature shouldn't be available to gamer's.
2nd)They must open up customization. Don't wait until somebody is able to hack into game saves and create an editor.
So much with EA is about holding your breath and hoping. NCAA has the fanbase and if they don't take advantage this year, some developer is going to make a game with full customization to work around the "Exclusivity" and bring the "WOW" factor to a college football game.
The attitude seems to be "We shall see", which is not good!!!

Also any realignment that happens this year is not going to take effect until the 2012 season.

@ 4solo: Yeah. People are talking about their dynasty season's which can go well past 2012. That seems to be what all the fuss is about.
@NavigatorD83: I skipped last years game. How many schools could you put in a conference?

I think it will be more fun regardless, but yes, I am waiting for the demo to get a taste of the gameplay. With this massive demo, they must be proud of it. They have never had an 8 team demo in my memory, so there must be something big about this new version of the game. I will go with the optimistic route and assume this game will be a LOT of fun.
@Navigator: You could realign, but not create your own conferences, not to mention the fact that you cannot add teams or divisions to existing conferences.

Here's to hoping its not buggy like madden site last year, it was there but it was pretty much unusable.

realignment, won't come into affect until next season. So, even if everything goes through the Big 12 will still be the Big 12 this season. I just hope they allow realignment on the game, instead of just trading teams.
Over all I am really excited about some of the additions and changes. I am ready to play the demo to see how much locamotion makes a difference. I still can't fully judge the game until I get a full version of it.

I am a bit concerned for the defense as well. Hopefully they will show some advances on that side of the ball at E3. I can say the real assignment blocking is HUGE for me. Actually being able to run a option offense correctly is gonna be fun. I too hope there are no bugs out of the box and I sure hope the community can get the names into the game ultra quick. I dont know why but having the names makes it so much better. The web based online dynasty stuff is definitely super cool as well. Overall I think this will be the best NCAA to date and may be the one that sets the bar for future versions to come.
I too warn that demos usually are not tell tale mediums to which one should make an opinion. It sure would be cool if EA would do a beta of some sort for the community to test out these games before they come out. I for one would be a guinea pig for them for free!

Im liking this web idea. I just hope playing with my game online doesn't cause more freezes like it the past. (at least for me)

I like many of the new features for NCAA11 such as locomotion, web dynasty, updated playbooks, etc.
But I will not play the game very much unless a) the blocking AI is significantly better and b) the suction effect is diminished.
