College Football Season: Closing In
Posted on July 7, 2009 at 11:41 AM.
NCAA Football 10 arrives at my house today and I will begin the long laborious work of reviewing the game (which, BTW should be up by midnight on release day).

However, I am positively stoked about what this arrival really means: college football is just around the corner. As a Sooner fan, I definitely cannot wait for this season. Here are a couple of predictions:

-One of the almost consensus Top 3 (UF, UT, OU) will be a 2+ loss team in the regular season.
-Either Penn State or Ohio State will win 11 games.
-Notre Dame will have a BCS Bowl Season this year with their less than stellar schedule and plenty of talent.
-There won't be any mid-major Utah type of teams this year.

So what are your predictions? How will your team do? Who is winning each conference? Share your predictions now!

Scatterbrained Predictions :
1. Florida will not go undefeated, but will win SEC title.
2. Virginia Tech will defeat Alabama & go unbeaten.
3. USC will go to thier 5th straight Rose Bowl.
4. The Big Ten will suck less this year.
5. The BCS will get it wrong again.

My team is UNC and we have a relatively soft schedule this year with two FCS teams. I see potential losses against Georgia Tech, Miami, Florida State, and Virginia Tech. If we win at least one of those games I think we'll go 9-3.
GO HEELS!

(Todd I like how you just cut and pasted your other blog )
I think Florida will slip at least once, I see Texas and Nebraska in the Big XII Championship, Notre Dame will not be in a BCS
Virginia Tech needs to be watched, if they make it past Nebraska in a key non-conference game they could run the table in the ACC and find themselves in the BCS title game.
The Pac 10 is down (a little deeper than years past but still down compared to other conferences)
The Big East will have a BCS team with 3 or more losses.

And ESPN will continue to be a UF fanboy network ( I can't stand college gameday anymore since it has become mostly Florida Football daily instead)
