Did the NCAA Team Drop the Ball on the Rosters? Stuck
Posted on June 18, 2009 at 08:46 PM.
According to our recent poll on the frontpage, it seems as if the largest amount of voters in the poll have decided to not buy NCAA Football 10 (at least thus far) due to the recent well documented roster issues.

One would say you have to adjust for the usual people who will vote in these polls to be as anti-EA as possible, and thus probably weren't going to buy the game anyways. I would say that's a legit claim, but that would hardly begin to describe the reasons so few consumers aren't forgiving enough to buy the game this year.

I personally think the problem is totally unacceptable, and there is no legit excuse which can be offered, but an acceptable fix is being offered in my mind. It goes without saying that this is a make or break year for EA Tiburon football.

While Madden looks like it could be heading for a banner year on a lot of levels, its little brother seems poised to be trying to drop the ball at every possible turn. I will be playing the demo tonight and will share some thoughts on it tomorrow. Hopefully the trends of the last few weeks don't continue with the demo.

100% agree with the post. Madden is the title to get this year and I am looking for the NCAA dev team to come correct next year the way Ian and his team did for Madden. At this point, it will be the only glimpse of hope for this failing franchise. IMO, NCAA football is simply a footnote to the coming football season - (that really starts when Madden drops) where as NCAA on old gen systems used to have this the other way around.

This series needs an extreme makeover.

The o-line d-line interaction is horrendous and the gameplay on the whole is just too arcadey and robotic.

EA needs to bring in a new team for NCAA 11.

Why are we allowed to speak out against NCAA 10, but if you dare say a bad word against Madden 10 you get modded?

Good one "njd"!

Again, if the game is not ready then don't release the game. Patches have there own problems.

$60 for a bunch of problems in a half baked game! No Thanks!!!!

Wow, I have bought the game every year since it first came out, and have already reserved it. After reading all of these issues though, I may put my money towards FNR4 and Madden.

It seems like the NCAA team decided to see how many times they could drop the ball and still have people buy the game.

How could they unintentionally make this many mistakes?

NCAA needs to stop releasing it's game two months before college football even starts. wait an extra month, make sure everything is together and release it a week or so before madden. College football fans are the ones who buy NCAA and that's who they need to worry about, not the part time players who jump to madden come august.

Looks like im going with the ps2 game this year since once again the NCAA team is'nt caring about the people spending there money. You would think after all the issues with last years game, They would step it up and b right beside Madden in this thing.

Rosters are pretty much the last straw for me. I have been putting up with robot player models for the last 3 years. The only thing I'm spending money on is to buy a used PS2. Thanks EA, I can sell my PS3, and I'm not buying your game. So in this rough economy your actually making me money.
